Trip to Halifax, NS

I was very lucky to go to Halifax, Nova Scotia for work. It was a 2 week trip. unfortunately I was fighting a stomach flu at the time which did nto allow me to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. The stomach flu and heavy foods were not a good match.

I stayed in the downtown waterfront area which was really nice. There were lots of boats in the water, lots of pubs with good food, and lots and lots of history. I never knew there was so much history there. I did not know much about the Titanic but there is huge history there. All the houses and buildings were hundreds of years old.

My only complaints were that whenever I got a soda, the straws were so dang skinny. Drove me crazy. Then when I wanted some mozzerella stick they only served them with sour cream for dipping. The waitress never heard of marinara sauce. :)

Everyone I worked with out there was super nice and really fun. I had a blast taking pictures which are below.

Very old cool cemetary. I wished I could have got in but the gates were always locked…undefinedundefined

Another cemetary I was able to walk around.

Trip to Lebanon, PA

I have been on a bunch of trips for work and with the family which I am going to get caught up with sharing.

Back in 2006 I was able to make a couple trips to Lebanon, PA for work. Unfortunately the first trip I made I completely forgot my camera. It was really my first work trip so I was more making sure I had all my work stuff. My first trip I drove to Hershey, PA which was nice. I did not go in the park but went to the free area where I rode the ride to see how chocolate is made. I think really the best was driving around and seeing all the scenery that I really have never experienced. Although California has lots of places to go with lots of different scenery, it is just still very different.

I had my GPS with me so I just drove aimlessly around until I needed to go back to the hotel which was a key punch away on the GPS. My first trip I was not there over any weekend so it was a rush to go after work but before the sun went down. Plus I had to fit eating in there since everything closed around 7:00. I stayed in a hotel right outside of Lebanon where there was not much around. There was a diner pretty close that was good but it closed at 7:00. One night I pulled in about ten to seven and a waitress actually stopped taking an order and ran to the door to lock it.

The second trip I took was over new years. I was there for 9 days and worked everyday but New Years day. With my luck though every day was in the 70’s which was crazy for out there at that time of the year. My one day off it poured so hard that I could not leave the hotel really.

I do have a few pictures from my second trip out there…
